One of the biggest and richest Super Late Model races in the country will take place this weekend at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington. We get you ready for the 7th Annual Summer Showdown in this edition of “By the Numbers” on Speed51.com.

 

3: Mike Longton has finished on the lead lap three times in the 200-lap race and logged three top-10 finishes. The year he didn’t he was taken out in a Lap 2 crash. Longton and Namia Lang are the only two drivers with three top 10’s.

 

4: The last four Montana 200 wins will be represented this weekend at Evergreen. Owen Riddle, Jeremy Doss, and Garrett Evans will all be in the field.

 

5: A total of five drivers have finished in the top five twice, but only one of those drivers, Pete Harding has won the race. Tyler Tanner, Derek Thorn, Garrett Evans and Naima Lang each have a pair of top fives.

 

6: A total of four drivers have run all six Summer Showdowns Naima Lang, Doni Wanat, Tyler Tanner and Daniel Moore.

 

12: A good sleeper pick might be defending track champion Trenton Moriality in the No. 12 car. He had eight total podiums and three wins in 2017. He was 10th last year.

 

28: A total of 28 drivers on the Summer Showdown entry list hail from the home state of Washington. Both former in-state winners Jay Sauls and Tayler Ridlle are back looking to become the first two-time winner.

 

42: There are 42 cars on the entry list. See below for the full list.

 

48: Preston Peltier, the winner of last year’s race, will be looking to become the first two-time and back-to-back winner of the Summer Showdown.

 

99: A total of 99 different drivers have raced in the Summer Showdown at Evergreen Speedway.

 

200: The feature will be 200 laps on the big 5/8-mile oval at Evergreen Speedway.

 

331: Preston Peltier has led 331 laps in the last two Summer Showdown events.

 

25,000: The amount of money the winner of the race will take home.
