The Show Me the Money Series returns to the capital city of Alabama on Saturday. Montgomery Motor Speedway, the Mecca of Pro Late Model racing in the Southeast, will be roaring again with racing and it can be seen live, free for premium subscribers on But before racing begins, we wanted to take an in-depth look at the Show Me the Money Series in today’s By the Numbers.

12: Augie Grill is the all-time series win leader with 12 victories. Casey Roderick is a close second after winning a bunch last year. His total sits at nine.

13: The Modified of Mayhem race will be the 13th at Montgomery, which is more than any other track.  Jeff Letson has four wins at Montgomery.

18: The 18 car of Casey Roderick has been the one to beat in the Pro Late Model world the last 18 months.  There are not too many times that the Georgia-based team does not show up and win.  Last year, Montgomery was one of several track championships that the Sanders Racing number-18 captured.

26: The 26 from Georgia is coming to Montgomery to settle unfinished business.  No, not that 26.  Chandler Smith is fresh off a win at CRA SpeedFest and a pair of seconds last year at Montgomery.

49: This race will be the 49th Pro Late Model race at Montgomery since the start of the Show Me The Money Series.

51: Keep an eye on Perry Patino. The Montgomery, Alabama driver was second in points a year ago to the 18 of Roderick. He had strong runs like a third and a fourth along the way.

125: The opening race will be 125-laps for the Pro Late Models. The season’s big event will be the Alabama 200 in early September.

2009: The Show Me the Money Series started in 2009.

A Champions Party: According to track officials, former champions Casey Roderick, Augie Grill, Justin South, and John Bolen will be racing cars this weekend at Montgomery. Between these drivers they combine for a total of six championships.

Double Duty: From what we have learned from Montgomery Motor Speedway staff, Augie Grill will run both the Modified event and the Pro Late Model show.  The Modified race is the first round for the Modifieds of Mayhem Series.

History Lesson: Jason Young from Texas outlasted Auggie Grill on May 16th 2009 to win the very first Show Me the Money race.  There were five lead changes that day as Young passed Hunter Robbins with 12 laps to go to score the win.
