The road to the 51st Annual Snowball Derby continues this Friday night with the second Blizzard Series race of the season at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.  We get you ready for the race in this edition of “By the Numbers” on Speed51.com.

2: Donnie Wilson has been out of his race car for nearly two months after surgery to his foot.  Wilson, who drives the No. 2 Super Late Model, hopes that the numbers line up for the second Blizzard Series race of the 2018 season. Wilson has finished in the second spot some five times, but has never won a Blizzard Series race.

2: Jeff Choquette has two Blizzard Series wins and two runner-up finishes in the Snowball Derby.  Look for the No. 9 ride to be in the mix, if not up front.

10: The goal of being in the top 10 in Blizzard Series points has so much value come Snowball Derby time.  If you are in the top 10 in points, you could qualify for a provisional spot for the Snowball Derby.

Carter Stokes, Dustin Smith, Jordan McCallum, Joe Aramendia and Kyle Bryant finished sixth through 10th in the first Blizzard Series race back in April.  There could be a cinderella story in there that could make it all the way to the Snowball Derby.

18: Casey Roderick, driver of the No. 18, won back-to-back Blizzard Series titles in 2015 and 2016.  It was the first time in series history that feat had been accomplished.

26: It’s hard to not talk about the driver of the No. 26, Bubba Pollard. He’s the only three-time Blizzard Series champion and he has a record 16 wins at Five Flags Speedway.  He’s looking for his fourth straight win and his sixth in seven races on Friday.

51: Friday night’s race will be available to watch live on Speed51.com for just $14.99.  Race fans can purchase pay-per-view video tickets today by clicking here.

55: Donnie Wilson is now 0 for 55 in the Blizzard Series.  Maybe that win is coming sometime soon.

100: Bubba Pollard is now exactly 100 laps behind Augie Grill for the all-time laps leader in Blizzard Series action in Pensacola.  Pollard has several more wins, but Grill had a lot of dominating nights where he failed to win.  Right now it’s one of the few records that Pollard doesn’t own at Five Flags.

125: Friday’s Blizzard Series race will be 125 laps in the Universal Fabricators 125. This was the one race that Bubba Pollard did not win last year as he took three of the four races.

Last Time Out: Augie Grill won a Pro Late Model race at Montgomery Motor Speedway (AL) last Saturday night.  Can Grill use the momentum as he heads into Friday’s Blizzard Series race?

Georgia Rules: Round one of the Blizzard Series was dominated by Peach State drivers with Bubba Pollard beating out Casey Roderick, Chandler Smith and Kyle Plott.

Points Battle: A tight points battle has Corey Heim at the top of the Southern Super Series standings by eight markers over Raphael Lessard.
