3: Three drivers have the pleasure of saying they have won three times at the Oxford 250. First, it was Dave Dion, then Ralph Nason, and Mike Rowe was the most recent.

7: Ben Rowe, Mike Rowe, Travis Benjamin, Glen Luce, Wayne Helliwell, Jr, Scott Robbins, and Joey Polewarczyk make up the seven past winners listed on the entry list.

35: Mike Rowe will be set to make his 35th start at the Oxford 250.  Rowe has 10 top-five runs and 12 top-10 runs.  The three-time winner has started more races than any other driver.

44: This is the 44th annual Oxford 250.  The race has run every year since 1974 without interruption.

300x250 Oxford 250 PPV51: Speed51.com will be offering a live pay-per-view broadcast of the event on Sunday. Live video tickets can be purchased here

100: There will be extra money on the line with the lap money paying $100 per lap. In the past, some drivers have racked up over $10,000 in lap money.  It is possible to win $25,000 if you lead all the laps.

222: A total of 222 PASS wins are represented on the entry list for this year’s Oxford 250.

250: The race is 250 green flag laps.

299: When Ben Rowe takes the green flag at this year’s Oxford 250 it will be his 299th start in PASS racing counting across the north, south, non-points races and National tour races.

687: The total number driver who have run the Oxford 250 has risen from 680 to 687 after 2016.  In all seven rookies ran the race for the first time.  The chances that 13 rookies will make the race is slim, but soon we will be at 700 different drivers.

796: Ralph Nason has led 796 laps in the Oxford 250. That is by far the most as Nason won the race three times.

25,000: The winner’s share for the win in the Oxford 250 is $25,000 to win.

North: You have to like the chances of Canadian drivers with Cole Butcher, John Flemming, Donald Theetge and Lonnie Sommerville leading the charge.  Butcher just won the Atlantic Cat 250 for the second time and hopes to be the first Canadian since Junior Hanley in 1993 to win the Oxford 250.

Late to the Party: We know a few stragglers will be showing up on the entry list, but PASS winners Scott Mulkern and Garrett Hall filed entries this week. They will be contenders for the big show on Sunday.

Local Heros: The regular racing at Oxford Plains Speedway has been outstanding again this year.  There have been 15 races before this year’s Oxford 250 and along the way, a total of 13 different drivers have won leading up to this weekend’s race.  Only Alan Tardiff and TJ Brackett have won more than once, but a win this weekend could make a season and a career for a local hero.

Race Winners from the Pole: Only Dave Dion (1975), Geoff Bodine (1981), Larry Gelinas (1996), Gary Drew (2001) and Ben Rowe (2003) have won the race from the pole.

Luck of the Draw: Winning the pole for the Oxford 250 comes down to winning heat race one.  The pill draw of number one will get you the pole for that race, but you still have to hold off the field and take the checkered flag to start P1.
