Harrison Burton has done his fair share of winning so far in 2017. He’s won in his Super Late Model, he’s won in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and he's won in the ARCA Racing Series. On Monday night, Burton will be looking to add a big money race win to his resume in the $20,000-to-win “Money in the Bank” 150 at Michigan’s Berlin Raceway.

The 16-year-old Burton is making his first start at the challenging half-mile oval tonight. With no prior testing to lean on, the young driver has to learn quickly in practice.

300x250 Money In The Bank PPV“The first time I saw this place was this morning,” Burton told Speed51.com powered by JEGS. “We’ve got two hours and 30 minutes to figure it out so hopefully it goes well.”

However, Burton knows plenty about the race track from watching videos and talking to as many people as possible to learn about the place.

“It’s a really cool race track. It’s really unique. You can run basically anywhere you want on the race track and it’s rough on tires. It’s going to be a lot of fun. You’re going to see a lot of racing on different grooves and hopefully we can figure it out and get after it.”

The second-generation driver will be returning to Berlin Raceway on July 1 when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East heads there. While Super Late Models handle very differently compared to a heavier stock car, Burton said there’s still a lot he can learn for when he returns. However, Burton added that learning for the K&N race isn’t his main priority tonight.

“The one-day show with the opportunity to win $20,000 really drew us in,” Burton said. “It’s a really cost-efficient event. I’m really excited to come here and try to race for that, but yes it will also be helpful for the K&N race coming up as well.”

Race fans can watch Harrison Burton go for the $20,000 check live on Speed51.com on Monday night. Speed51.com’s live broadcast will go live at approximately 4:15 p.m. ET with qualifying. Fans looking to purchase the Speed51 TV live broadcast can do so by clicking here.
