Schererville, IN- Wyoming Michigan Standout and Defending winner Brian Campbell heads a star – studded field of drivers as the Illiana Motor Speedway hosts the 53rd Tony Bettenhausen 100 presented by Schepel GMC Commercial Trucks of Merrillville, IN this Sat. nite Sept 13th.

Drivers from fives states are expected including Four time winner Eddie Hoffman Wheaton, IL Three time winner Brett “The Jet” Sontag Joliet, IL. Three time race winner Larry Schuler Minooka,IL. 2014 Grundy Co Speedway Champion Ricky Baker, Plus Wisconsin`s Matt Kocourek.

Lead foot Locals looking for there first Bettenhausen win include 2014 track champion Jeff Cannon and Anthony “The Boss” Danta fresh off a season championship race win last week.

The nites program will feature the Super Late Models doing battle in a 100 lap main event along with the final round of the Street Stock Towing Express Chi-Town Spectacular in a 20 lap feature on the legendary ½ mile, plus pure stocks on the ¼ mile. “The One Big Race you don’t want to miss.”

The race will carry a purse of more than $30,000 plus lap prize money plus special bonuses from Five Star Bodies, and $100 from Power Train Technology. The Bettenhausen Memorial “100” honors the legendary Tony Bettenhausen. The Tinley Park, IL native made 14 starts in the Indianapolis 500 with 5 top-ten finishes. Sadly, Bettenhausen’s life ended during a practice crash at the famed Speedway in May 1961 while testing a car.
