Big Street Stock Race at Dillon to Be Nationally Televised

For the second year in a row, one of the biggest Street Stock races in the country will be broadcast to a national audience on MAVTV, as Dillon Motor Speedway’s New Year Bash will air via tape-delayed broadcast on February 5, 2020 on Speed51’s Short Track America.

The 10thAnnual New Year’s Bash will be held on January 4-5 at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, South Carolina.  The Street Stock feature will be 110 laps around the 4/10-mile oval, paying $2,500 to the winner.

The event routinely draws competition from across the United States, with some racers traveling from as far away as Indiana, Maine and Wisconsin for a chance to compete during the traditional off-season for a big-money payday.

Speed51 TV will produce the tape-delayed broadcast using a multi-camera format that includes replays, network TV–style graphics and on-board cameras. A full broadcast team, including a pit reporter, will be on hand for the New Year’s Bash.

Speed51’s Short Track America will deliver the one-hour broadcast of the race for the viewers on MAVTV on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

MAVTV, an American cable and satellite television channel owned by the automotive lubricant company Lucas Oil, has become the go-to channel for short track racing events in recent years. The company produces full race broadcasts for series such as the ARCA Racing Series, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series, Lucas Oil Modified Series and many more.

The addition of the New Year’s Bash to Speed51’s Short Track America lineup further demonstrates the network’s support of short track racing.
