The announcement comes as a result of the scheduled driver of Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 for Sunday, Justin Haley, being sidelined due to COVID-19 protocol.

Berry earned his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory earlier this season at Martinsville driving for JR Motorsports, the same team where he has enjoyed a prolific career in Late Model Stock Car racing. Berry is the winningest driver in CARS Tour history, a track champion at both Hickory Motor Speedway and Motor Mile Speedway, as well as the 2017 CARS Late Model Stock Tour champion.
Along with his 2019 win in the ValleyStar Credit Union 300, the crown jewel of Late Model Stock Car racing, Berry also won the 2017 Myrtle Beach 400. He also successfully qualified for the 2019 Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in one of his few forays into Super Late Model racing, starting sixth but finishing 29th after falling out of the race early.

Berry will be taking on triple-duty this weekend at Dover. He is entered in the No. 41 for Bruce Cook in the ARCA Menards Series East event on Friday. He will also be one of four drivers competing for a $100,000 bonus in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series event in the Dash 4 Cash program following a second-place finish at Darlington Raceway.
