Naples, ME – After a weekend that saw several drivers punch their tickets to the 44th Annual Oxford 250, a full field of Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds will be back on track this Saturday night for 150 laps at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.
Seven drivers are currently within 100 points of the leader of the PASS North standings, Turner, ME’s Glen Luce. That group includes four former series champions, DJ Shaw, Travis Benjamin, Ben Rowe, and Johnny Clark, and a total of five Oxford 250 checkered flags.
After enduring a tough start to the 2017 season, Joey Doiron and the JBJ Machine Shop team have decided to step back and concentrate their efforts on events at Beech Ridge and Oxford. Since then, Doiron has won weekly events at Beech Ridge and captured a PASS North win at Oxford Plains in June.
Reid Lanpher also returns this weekend after a strong start to the season that saw him take dominant PASS North wins at Oxford Plains and Beech Ridge in the spring. Defending track champion Curtis Gerry will also be back in the PASS wars this weekend as he seeks his first career win in the series at his home track.
Another strong field is expected for Saturday night’s action at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway including championship contenders Derek Griffth and Tracy Gordon, along with another former track champion, Dave Farrington, Jr. John Salemi will make the trip from New Hampshire, while Chad Dow returns with the Matheson team from New Brunswick and fellow Maine drivers, John Peters, Scott Robbins, and Adam Polvinen.
Action gets under way on Saturday with rotating practice for all competing divisions starting at 3 PM and racing for the PASS North Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds beginning at 7 PM.
