While NASCAR announced a schedule for its return to racing this month in its top three series, including racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the ARCA Menards Series will not be part of those events in May.
The ARCA Menards Series released a statement on Thursday, announcing its event originally scheduled for May 22 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been postponed indefinitely.
"The ARCA Menards Series General Tire 150 scheduled for Friday, May 22 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been postponed until a later date," reads the statement. "We look forward to resuming our season soon and will share more details at the appropriate time."
Earlier on Thursday, the FASTRAK Racing Series also announced it would postpone its event scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 23 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
With the postponement, the next event on the ARCA Menards Series schedule is Saturday, May 29 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The Charlotte event marks the third race with the series to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside events at Salem Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.
