Four Oaks, North Carolina – The series officials of EDGE Entertainment Inc./Renegades of Dirt and Promoter Jim Long Jr of the 4/10th mile clay oval off I-95 Fayetteville Motor Speedway, NC have reached the following decision. Due to the high percentage of showers in the Fayetteville area tomorrow night we have made the decision we feel as the right one to postpone due to the predicted forecast.
With long travel by race teams and the forecast showing 80-90% storms at race time through late hours of the night officials from both parties agree and feel it’s in the best interest of our teams as well as Fayetteville Speedway to postpone the Sandhills Shootout to a later date TBA soon.
Saturday nights “Thunder In The Pines” $2,500 to win Modified Special at County Line Raceway in Elm City, NC is still a GO, I reiterate IS A GO!! We thank everyone for your understanding and wish all safe travels to Elm City for the return of the Renegades of Dirt!
The 3rd Annual modified special will be sanctioned this season humbly by the Renegades of Dirt South Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts and the competitors will see a substantial pay increase for the 2015 race spectacular on the dirt, as well we’re excited to announce track and series officials have decided to now start twenty four cars instead of the tour required twenty for the feature. Previous winners of this event include; Russell Erwin & Chris Parker. This event will also be co-headlined with the 2nd season of the I-95 Late Model Challenge Series also paying $2,500 to the winner. Don’t forget also that this is the appetizer before the big 2 day show scheduled for Father’s Day Weekend 2015 with the “Inaugural Open Wheel Modified World Championships” on June 12th and 13th.
