Another NASCAR star has confirmed his entry for the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown on December 12-13 at Millbridge Speedway.
Chase Briscoe, who will be a rookie in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021 with Stewart-Haas Racing, will enter the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown as well as the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals during the winter months.
“Ready to some “off season” racing at @MillbridgeRacin & @cbnationals!” tweeted Briscoe.
Excited to have @TevinNorman’s Tex A Con, @PlanBSales, @SmithTitanium, @HoosierTire, @ElliottsTrailer, @DorsettAutoSale, @HighPoint, @FPRacingSchool, @PagSahlin, @HuffyBicycles, and many others on board! 🏁 pic.twitter.com/yqPudNrOhq

Briscoe won nine races with Stewart-Haas Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020, earning a spot in the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway for that series’ title. Following the successful season, Briscoe will replace the retiring Clint Bowyer in Stewart-Haas’ No. 14 Cup entry for 2021.
Briscoe will take part in the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown, the first-ever Midget event at Millbridge Speedway. The weekend will feature two nights of Midget racing, with Saturday’s feature paying $2,500 to win and Sunday’s racing offering $5,000 to the winner.
Briscoe joins Chase Elliott as NASCAR competitors entered in the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown. Elliott will be making his Dirt Midget debut in the event at Millbridge Speedway.
Briscoe and Elliott will also take part in the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals on January 11-16, 2021. The trip will mark Briscoe’s sixth appearance at the Chili Bowl, with one start in the Saturday A-Main in 2017.
Race fans unable to attend the DiaEdge Carolina Midget Showdown will be able to watch Briscoe and Elliott take on the rest of the Midget stars taking part in the event on Speed51.TV. More entries will be announced in the days leading up to the event on December 12-13.
