Announcing February’s Stop Tech Social Media Star of the Month

In today’s racing world, becoming a star takes more than just on-track performance. Just like the high component braking systems and components offered by StopTech, it takes the full package. Part of that package involves a driver’s presence, creativity and ability to interact with fans on social media.


With that in mind, has teamed up with StopTech to recognize a “Social Star” each month during the 2020 racing season.


New Hampshire driver Derek Griffith had a Speedweeks to remember.  Not only did he win the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Super Late Model championship, he also made his ARCA Menards Series debut during the week. He put the Chad Bryant Racing No.2 on the pole and dominated the event before finishing second to defending series champion Sam Mayer.


His performance in the 175-lap event turned heads all around the short track racing world and earned praise from some of the sport’s biggest stars.





Since his Speedweeks performance, Griffith has been active on social media trying to obtain the sponsorship necessary to compete in more ARCA Menards Series East races this year.



After a successful Speedweeks which saw him become the talk of short track racing, Derek Griffith has been named the StopTech Social Star of the Month for February 2020.
