K&B Promotions, the company that runs Sandusky Speedway, MSA Supermodifieds and the Main Event racing series, announced today that in 2017 American Racer Tires will be the official tire of all K&B organizations. Kevin Jaycox president of K&B stated “We did a tire test with the supers and super lates at Sandusky Speedway and were overwhelmed by how long they lasted and how well the tire repeated”.
This was a tough decision but after meeting with Fred Woodward and Dustin Leverknight of Lias Tire / American Racer we felt comfortable to make the change. This will also fall in line with the efforts of working with Lorain County Speedway as they have been running the tires for a few years now. American Racer Tires have been sweeping our Ohio area and we felt it was time to take a look at what they could bring to the table for our racers.
The MSA Supermodifeds will be using a similar line of tires to that of the Must See Sprints out of Michigan which have proved to help enhance the racing in that group. A 10” EC-31 Slick, which is commonly used on most late model divisions in and around Ohio will be the tire of choice for the Main Event Racing Series. As for Sandusky Speedway the tire lineup will mirror that of Lorain Speedway utilizing the AR970 and American Racer’s 14” compact tire.
We are looking toward the future of our groups and will continue to be aggressive to make changes for the betterment of asphalt racing. This was a change we felt would help benefit our racers in both performance and cost categories. Please join me in welcoming Lias Tire and American Racer in to the K&B family.
