AFCO Crate Spec Shocks Winning in 602 Late Model Competition

Carnesville, GA –David Smith took his 2013 TNT Race Car to victory lane Saturday night at Cherokee Speedway. Smith made the switch to the AFCO Crate Spec Shocks this season, after running several seasons on Pro Shocks.

“I love these shocks, I took them straight out of the box and didn’t make any changes,” said Smith, “After hearing about the test results last year, it was an easy decision to make the switch. The AFCO shocks are at a “racer’s price” and can compete against the “high dollar” shocks.”

Trae Kirk, in his first outing in a 602 Late Model, took his 2013 Mastersbilt to victory lane at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park on Saturday night. The 13-year-old driver had roughly 80 laps worth of practice between Senoia Raceway and Toccoa Raceway before the race this past Saturday.

“I wasn’t sure what to expect of the shocks,” said Trae’s father Steve Kirk, “but the car is in total control and deadly consistent.”

During a practice session at Toccoa, Kirk was running consistent lap times, topping with a 13.230. Kirk plans to run the brand new FASTRAK Future Stars Tour. He had competed for three and half years in karting and now making the jump to 602 Late Model competition.

“The proof is in the pudding,” continued Kirk, “The car is on a rail and never does anything out of the ordinary.”

The FASTRAK Future Stars Tour is set to debut this Saturday night, May 4th, at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN. Drivers under 16 years of age will be required to participate in an insurance test on Friday, May 3rdat Volunteer Speedway.
