Cherokee Speedway (SC) is preparing for an action-packed 2019, with racing from Mid-February to November at “The Place Your Momma Warned You About.”

Along with a full plate of weekly racing programs, several touring divisions will visit the Gaffney, South Carolina facility. The 2019 schedule includes dates with the United Sprint Car Series, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, the Carolina Clash Super Late Models, the South Eastern Crate Association, the FUEL Racing series, and more.

“I feel like we have put together a good schedule for the fans that will bring variety to the table,” said Cherokee Speedway promoter Scott Childress.  “Everyone is excited about the 2019 season.

“We have some great weekly racing and some really exciting touring series that always provide plenty of action,” Childress added.  “Plus, we have some new series with us this year that we are really looking forward to.”

The season will begin on February 24, with 604 Crate Late Models, Crate Sportsmen, Renegades, and Thunder Bombers on the schedule.  March Madness, which includes the big horsepower Dirt Late Models (Super Late Models), will kick off the track’s big race season on March 2-3.  Cherokee closes out the season with the 25th running of the Blue-Gray 100 on November 24, the season finale for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series.

Fan Appreciation Night is scheduled for May 18, with $5 admission for fans that evening.  The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will pay visits on May 3 and October 4, while the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series comes to Cherokee on June 14.

Speed51 will have video coverage from many of the major events in 2019, including, but not limited to, the Blue-Gray 100, Carolina Clash events, Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals Series events, the World Crown 4-Cylinder Nationals and the aforementioned March Madness event.

Speed51’s video presence at Cherokee Speedway will not include the stop by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, nor the World of Outlaws Late Models events at Cherokee Speedway in 2019.

Plans also call for Speed51 to create many original stories about the races and the players involved, as well as its traditional Trackside Now and Race Day Now coverages of events, which is free to all who visit the site.

Those interested in attending or participating at the track this year are suggested to visit the track website at cherokeespeedwaysc.com.

Since 2001, Speed51.com has been the source for short track news, behind-the-scenes stories, in-depth race coverage and live video broadcasts of short track events on both dirt and pavement throughout North America.  Speed51 also produces race broadcasts for network television.  The Speed51 Video Network carries select live races, as well as on-demand highlights, interviews and features from short track racing around the country on Speed51.com.
