header pitboxes pit crew of the month

Behind every great driver is a great team.  The crew members that put in countless hours at the shop and at the track sometimes do not receive the recognition deserved for a job well done.  The combination of a great driver and a great crew is the recipe for making great things happen on the track.

That’s why the team at PitBoxes.com, who specialize in fabricating a high quality line of standard and custom pit boxes, is proud to honor a monthly “Pit Crew of the Month” from the short track ranks of America on Speed51.com.  Each month, an esteemed panel of short track industy insiders will vote on which pit crew helped lead their driver to success on the track.  The pit crew with the most votes will then be the “PitBoxes.com Pit Crew of the Month” and will receive a $100 product certificate to use at PitBoxes.com.  At the end of the 2016 season, the pit crew that received the most votes throughout the season will then be the “PitBoxes.com Pit Crew of the Year” and will be awarded a $1,000 product certificate to PitBoxes.com.  For more on PitBoxes.com visit their website today.

This edition of the “PitBoxes.com Pit Crew of the Month” for the month of July goes to……

Joey Pole Racing
Super Late Models

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. has won many big races throughout his racing career, but until the month of July his Joey Pole Racing team struggled to find success in the Super Late Model ranks.  Now running a part-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) schedule, Polewarczyk has been able to spend more time focusing on the Super Late Model and so far that time has paid off.

“Joey Pole” kicked off the month of July by dominating the first 190 laps of the $10,000-to-win Super Late Model Nationals at Seekonk Speedway (MA).  But with under 10 laps to go, Polewarczyk’s No. 97 went up in flames as a result of an electrical issue.  While the electrical issue ultimately cost him $10,000, his performance that day served as a turning point for the team’s Super Late Model program.

Just over one week later, after re-wiring the entire electrical system in the car, Polewarczyk made his way to White Mountain Motorsports Park (NH) with the Pro All Stars Series.  He took the lead from six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark on lap 116 and pulled away on a late-race restart to score his first career series victory.

With the monkey off of his back, the Hudson, New Hampshire racer made the trek north to Oxford Plains Speedway this past weekend.  After battling the car in practice, the team made the right adjustments to get the car right from the feature.  Polewarczyk charged to the front and dominated much of the race’s second half before being involved in a photo finish with Wayne Helliwell, Jr.  Initially, Pole was credited a second-place finish.  But after review from Pro All Stars Series officials, the race was deemed a tie and Polewarczyk was also credited with a PASS North victory.

In addition to his own racing, the Joey Pole Racing crew also stays busy with their driver development program which features ACT drivers Ryan Olsen and Emily Packard.

For his team’s dramatic turnaround with their Super Late Model program and their hard work to repair the car following a fiery crash at Seekonk, the Joey Pole Racing team has been named July’s PitBoxes.com Pit Crew of the Month.
