For the week: June 23 – June 29, 2014
You want domination? How about being P1 on the scoreboard on every competitive lap that was turned through the course of a Super Late Model weekend. Oh, and it wasn’t in just any run-of-the-mill Super Late Model race. It happened to be in the richest Super Late Model show in the Western part of the United States that had more than 50 entries.
That was the story of Cameron Hayley’s Summer Showdown at Evergreen Raceway Park in Washington on June 28 and 29. The Calgary, Alberta, Canada racer was quickest in time trials with a new track record. Then he led all 25 laps of his heat race. He then led each of the 206 laps – six more than the scheduled 200 due to “overtime,” en route to a $21,000 payday. It was a good, old-fashioned stomping that Hayley, a regular in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, put on the field in Washington.
For his dominant performance at Evergreen, Cameron Hayley is this week’s Maxima Racing Oils Dominator. Hayley will receive a product certificate from Maxima Racing Oils.
