Cody Coughlin came into the 2014 season hoping to step up to the next level after winning the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour title last year. His schedule has kept him busy competing in select ARCA Racing Series events for Venturini Motorsports and his Super Late Model in the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS.
The Joe Gibbs Racing Development driver has a top-five finish in each, but was looking for something more. On Labor Day, he didn’t just got more; he made a strong statement at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana.
Coughlin qualified fourth and after an invert of five, Coughlin started on the outside pole for the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS Winchester 100. He took the lead at the start from Rick Turner and led all 100 laps en route to his win by almost a straightaway.
Coughlin’s dominance at the tough Winchester Speedway makes him this week’s winner of the Maxima Racing Oils Dominator Award. He will receive a product certificate from Maxima Racing Oils.
