Bakersfield, CA – For the fifth straight year, 51FIFTY Energy Drink will present opening night of the $150,000 Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway. The Friday, February 1st “51FIFTY Energy Drink Opening Night” will feature a full night of racing to kick off the first day of competition at the 5th Annual Winter Showdown, the “Nation’s Richest Short Track Race.”
“The brand 51FIFTY has been part of racing since the beginning. It seems only right to be part of the largest short track race on the west coast. “51FIFTY Energy Drink Opening Night” will feature single-car qualifying for the Super Late Models starting at 6:30 p.m. with the “Winter Showdown 300 Qualifying controlled by Traffic Management, Inc.” Racing will start at 7:30 p.m. with the “Spears Manufacturing Modified Series presented by Lucas Oil All Star Race” featuring the top modified drivers of 2018. The “Motor City GMC Super Stock Showdown” and the “Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse Last Chance Race” will follow.

Friday, February 1st, it’s the 51FIFTY Energy Drink Opening Night of the 5th Annual Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway. Gates open 5:30 p.m., Qualifying at 6:30 p.m. and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
