Dirt Modified fans are some of the most passionate and dedicated fans in all of short track racing. They pack the grandstands at short tracks throughout the country to watch stars such as Brett Hearn, Stewart Friesen, Matt Sheppard and Danny Johnson battle wheel-to-wheel. Now, those fans are going to have a new one-stop shop for all things Dirt Modified racing in 2016.
Speed51.com powered by JEGS will be stepping up their Dirt Modified coverage this year with in-depth coverage of the Super DIRTcar Series. In addition to the Super DIRTcar Series, 51 will also be offering live and on-demand coverage of other series such as the South East Dirt Modified Series, Race of Champions Dirt Modified Series and Short Track Super Series.
“Just like their pavement racing brethren, Dirt Modified fans are some of the most passionate race fans in the country,” said Matt Kentfield, Speed51.com Executive Director. “We’ve prided ourselves in being a hub of info for pavement Modified racing for a long time, but now we can take that even further with an effort to step up our game in the dirt world as well. Whether it’s the big-blocks in the Northeast, the open-wheel groundpounders on the Southeastern clay or anything in between, 51 will bring the excitement of Dirt Modified racing in front of even more eyes than ever before.”
Throughout the 2016 racing season, Speed51.com will be covering the Super DIRTcar Series with live coverage, on-demand video and unique stories. When the series kicks off their season at Volusia Speedway Park (FL) on Feburary 17 during the DIRTcar Nationals, 51 will be on hand to provide live Speed Central coverage of all four days of racing in the Sunshine State.
In addition to the coverage at Volusia, 51 will have a presence at a majority of the points-counting Super DIRTcar Series events in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio.
Throughout the season, 51 will also be on hand for a select number of other Dirt Modified touring series events held throughout North America, as well as weekly Dirt Modified action at local tracks such as Albany-Saratoga Speedway (NY), Lebanon Valley Speedway (NY) and Fonda Speedway (NY).
With a growing audience for Dirt Modified racing, the staff at Speed51.com believes there’s a need for more news and information surrounding this type of racing. The goal is to provide race fans the same type of in-depth coverage that 51 is known for providing in other areas of racing such as asphalt Super Late Models and asphalt Modifieds.
“Every racer has a story and we look forward to telling more tales of the dirt warriors to more and more people in 2016,” added Kentfield. “We’ll have live, at-track coverage at a ton of events, plus video content on the Speed51 Network and more and I know our entire team can’t wait to bring all these racers and races into the spotlight this season.
Speed51.com’s coverage of Dirt Modified racing will provide businesses the opportunity for a large amount of exposure to a dedicated fan base throughout the world.
