For the second year in a row, Johnny VanDoorn dominated the Battle at Berlin 251 at Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI.  VanDoorn set fast time during qualifying and led 158 laps en route to the victory, which was his second at Berlin in ARCA/CRA Super Series action.

The win for VanDoorn came after a late race pit stop.  The Coopersville, Michigan driver charged back to the front of the field following the pit stop and passed Bubba Pollard with 10 laps to go in the race.  From that point on, VanDoorn built up his lead as he sailed to the checkered flag.

VanDoorn will once again be eligible for a bonus at the Winchester 400 at Winchester Speedway (IN) in October.   Last year, his wins at Berlin and Anderson Speedway’s (IN) Redbud 300 gave him $10,000 and set him up for a possible $100,000 bonus at the Winchster 400.  This year VanDoorn could pocket $10,000 for a second year in a row if he can win the 400.

For his dominating performance at Berlin Raceway on Saturday, Johnny VanDoorn has been named this week’s Maxima Racing Oils Dominator.  VanDoorn will receive a product certificate from Maxima Racing Oils for his performance.
