Alex Rosenberry, 19 year old outlaw super late model driver from New Philadelphia, Ohio is about to take a big step in expanding his racing resume. On May 27, 2016 Alex Rosenberry will travel to Pensacola, Florida to race at Five Flags Speedway driving for Chet Morrison Racing in the second 100 lap Blizzard series race of the year at Five Flags.
“We are really excited about the opportunity to run at Five Flags with the best super late model teams in the south, and arguably in the country. To get the chance to run for Chet Morrison and have our first chance to race south of Ohio is something we are all really looking forward to,” Rosenberry said. “It’s going to be a huge learning experience for me as I have never driven a template bodied super late model and have never been to Five Flags Speedway. There are a lot of variables that are going to come into play but I plan on doing the best of my ability to bring a solid finish back home.”
Alex Rosenberry has kicked off his season in 2016 by racing the Alex Rosenberry Racing outlaw super late model at Toledo Speedway on April 16th where the team had a mechanical failure while leading the race and then running at his home track, Midvale Speedway on April 23rd and May 7th where they had a second place finish both times. Last season Alex Rosenberry was runner up in the Main Event Racing Series 2015 point’s standings while having 20 top five finishes and 6 wins in 2015. Aside from running the Blizzard series race on May 27th, Alex Rosenberry racing is scheduled to make multiple trips south of Ohio in 2016 with the team’s Rosenberry Towing & FliteTest Sponsored outlaw super late models that will hit the track at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, North Carolina on August 18th, Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamstown, South Carolina on August 20th, and also making a trip to Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia on October 16th. With the team really looking forward to those races they are also focused on running all of the Main Event Racing series races in 2016 in hopes of contending for the championship. The first Main Event race is coming up this Saturday, May 14th at Sandusky Speedway.
“With it being so early on in 2016 it’s hard to get a feel of what this year has in store for us but with the amount of work that my Dad (Thad Rosenberry) and crew have done over the off season I have no reason not to believe that we will have the best equipment at every racetrack we show up to. I know that I will have to show up to every track ready to be the best that I can be in order to contend for wins in our Rosenberry Towing & FliteTest super late models.”
As the team moves forward they are looking at a total of 25 different racing events, 5 different series, 3 different divisions of cars, 6 different states, and over 2,150 laps of asphalt short track racing action between now and October. To follow along with their journey the team is very active on their Facebook page – Alex Rosenberry Racing, as well as on Twitter and Instagram @alexrosenberry2 for a more personal experience with Alex Rosenberry.
