It’s another busy weekend of short track racing all over the United States of America. We’ve tried to narrow down all of the spectacular events to a list of 10 must-see shows for you, the race fan, to try to head out and see.
U.S. Pro Stock/Super Late Model Nationals at Seekonk Speedway (MA) – It’s the second annual Pro Stock/Super Late Model Nationals at Seekonk Speedway next Wednesday at Seekonk Speedway. With $10,000 up for grabs it has drawn the attention of many big names including Raphael Lessard, Eddie MacDonald, Joey Polewarczyk and more.
NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park (CT) – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East heads to Thompson Speedway where the up and coming stars of NASCAR pay tribute to racers of the past by running Busch North “throwback” schemes. Todd Gilliland is coming off a win at Berlin and is looking to make it two in a row while his team mate Chase Purdy is looking for his first win.
DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Farmer City and Kickapoo Speedway (IL) – The Hell Tour is in full swing for the DIRTcar Summer Nationals. Both Dirt Late Models and Modifieds head to Farmer City (IL) on Friday, then to Highland Speedway (IL) on Saturday, and cap off the weekend full of racing at Kickapoo Speedway (IL) on Sunday.
Northwest Super Late Model Series at Meridian Speedway (IL) – The North West Super Late Models head to Meridian Speedway for the first time on the tour. The best in the North West take on the tricky quarter mile track outside of Boise, Idaho and battle along side the local SLM drivers in the Meridian Big 5 series.
Baldwin/Evans/Jarzombek Memorial at Riverhead Raceway (NY) – The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds race in memory of three important people in the modified world this weekend. The race is in recognition of Tom Baldwin, Charlie Jarzombek, and Richie Evans at Riverhead Raceway around the ¼ mile Long Island track.
Super DIRTcar Series New York Triple Header – The Super DIRTcar Series is in full swing as they head to three seperate tracks this weekend. They take on Airborne Speedway, Cornwall, and Weedsport over the weekend.
SK 5K at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT) – The biggest race for the SK Modifieds is this weekend at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT). The premier division of racing in Connecticut is racing for a $5,000 payday and Ryan Preece is hoping to score his second straight win in the race.
Northeast Top 3: RoC Mods at Oswego/PASS North at Beech Ridge/MTS at Monadnock – The RoC Modifieds head back Oswego Speedway in New York on Saturday night. Also on Saturday night, the PASS North heads to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (ME) for their tenth race of the season so far. Last but not least, the Modified Touring Series heads to Modnadnock Speedway (NH) for their fourth race.
Southeast Top 3: SummerFest 300 at SNMP/CARS Tour at Tri-County/Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Southern Swing – The Summerfest 300 is slated at Southern National Motorsports Park (NC) on Saturday night, and the CARS Tour heads to Tri-County for their first and only time this season. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is also on their Southern Swing as they visit multiple tracks throughout the weekend.
Midwest Top 3: JEGS at Kil-Kare/Lee Anderson Memorial Berlin/ARCA at Iowa – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour heads to Kil-Kare Speedway (OH) and the Outlaw Late Model Anderson Memorial at Berlin Raceway (MI) takes place as well. The ARCA Racing Series also heads to Iowa Speedway on Saturday.
