To preview tonight’s race, here are 10 Things to Know about the Gandrud Auto Group 250.

– 39 cars are entered for Tuesday night’s 250-lap event. Only 28 will take the green flag.

– The Midwest Truck Dixieland Delight 35 will be the only other feature on the racing card for Tuesday night.  Racing will begin at 7:00 p.m. Central with Last Chance Races for the Midwest Trucks and the ARCA Midwest Tour.

–  An important note from the series: A fan autograph session will get underway at 6pm by the Souvenir Trailer just inside the front gate, drivers will have the option of whether to participate. Some, including Kyle Busch are unable to have contact with crowds due to restrictions. Please be respectful of those drivers, many will have pre-signed hero cards outside their haulers after the races.

– Johnny Sauter said on The Bullring that if he wins on Tuesday night, he will then enter the Snowball Derby in December at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.  Sauter has only made one previous attempt at the Derby, which ended in a Thursday practice crash.

– The half-mile track was opened in 1951 and is one of the most unique venues in all of short track racing.  Kyle Busch described the challenges of making a lap at Wisconsin International while on The Bullring Monday.

– Ty Majeski was the winner of the Gandrud Auto Group 250 last year over John DeAngelis, Jr.  Majeski will be back at Kaukauna to defend his victory.

– Wisconsin International Raceway is famous for their Red, White and Blue State Championship Series, which is a three-part series that has been going on since 1972.  Dick Trickle won the series title seven times and won 21 of the series races.

– NASCAR driver Kyle Busch is coming to race his Super Late Model on Tuesday night.  Busch won this event, a 150-lap race at the time, back in 2007.

– Bubba Pollard is scheduled to make his first start at WIR.  We have to point out that he’s won nine times on tracks he’s raced at for the first time. He is coming off a win Friday in the Summer Sizzler 75 at Five Flags Speedway.

– Steve Carlson was a master in this event.  He was a seven-time winner of the Gandrud Auto Group 250.
