FRIDAY, March 17

MIDWEST

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (OH) –  Ongoing winter weather at Atomic Speedway has POSTPONED the Buckeye Spring 50 to April 20.

 

 

NORTHEAST

SOUTHEAST

Southern All Stars (FL) – Casey Roberts won and collected $4,000 on night number one of a two night stand at Southern Raceway.

 

Southern Nationals Bonus Series (TN) – The Bonus Series event at Tri-County Race Track has been POSTPONED to a date to be determined with poor weather dampening the track.

SOUTHWEST

ASCS National/Gulf South (TX) – Sam Hafertepe was victor on the first night of the 44th Spring Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

 

 

WEST

World of Outlaws Sprint Cars (CA) – David Gravel made a late race pass to win the first half of a Friday-Saturday doubleheader at Thunderbowl Raceway. (Click for Story)

SATURDAY, March 18

MIDWEST

Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (IN) – Winter weather has also CANCELED the Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway, there will be no make up date.

 

USAC National Midgets (IL) – Justin Grant won the season opening Shamrock Classic at the Southern Illinois Center in Du Quoin.

 

 

 

NORTHEAST

New Egypt Speedway (NJ) –  This week’s blizzard buried New Jersey under a foot of snow with the March Meltdown for Dirt Modifieds being CANCELED as well.

 

 

SOUTHEAST

Baby Rattler (AL) – Justin South claimed the victory in the Baby Rattler 125 at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama, while Korey Ruble won the 50 lap Modified feature. Hickory Motor Speedway (NC) – Charlie Watson won the 100 lap feature for the Late Model Stocks.

 

Myrtle Beach Speedway (SC) – Lee Pulliam took The Beach by storm, winning the 75 lap Late Model Stock feature. The win was Pulliam’s second of the season at Myrtle Beach and his third win overall. (click here for story)

 

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (SC) – Timmy Solomito survived a wild finish that included two red flags in the final 10 laps to win the first ever unified NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at Myrtle Beach Speedway. (Click for Story) (click here for Trackside Now)

 

Southeast Limited Late Models (SC) – Carson Kvapil, son of NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil, scored the victory in the Challenger division at Greenville Pickens Speedway.

 

Southern National Motorsports Park (NC) – With an unfavorable forecast, SNMP has decided to POSTPONE their championship opener to March 26.

Carolina Clash SLM Series (SC) – Rain at Lancaster Speedway has POSTPONED the night’s events. A make up date will be announced at a later time.

 

Chevrolet Performance SLM Series (TN) – Cory Hedgecock led wire to wire at 411 Motor Speedway.

 

Southern All Stars (FL) – Casey Roberts won again Saturday at Southern Raceway to sweep the weekend.

 

Southern Nationals Bonus Series (GA) – Tim McCreadie was victor in the Shamrock Race at Boyd’s Speedway.

 

Southeast Dirt Modified Series (NC) – Racing at County Line Raceway has been rained out. The SEDMS event has been POSTPONED to a later date to be announced.

 

Ultimate Super Late Model Series (NC) – Racing at County Line Raceway has been rained out. The Ultimate Supers event has been POSTPONED to a later date to be announced.

 

 

 

SOUTHWEST

ASCS National/Gulf South (TX) – Sam Hafertepe won for the second straight night to sweep the Spring Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

 

 

WEST

Pacific Challenge Series (CA) – Carlos Vieira snagged his first career PCS victory at Madera Speedway.

 

World of Outlaws Sprint Cars (CA) – Donny Schatz scooted by Daryn Pittman with two laps left, winning the final night of the doubleheader at Thunderbowl Raceway.
