The short track racing world lost a hero and a legend when Ted Christopher tragically left this world in a plane crash on his way to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Riverhead Raceway. Bob Dillner, a good friend of “TC,” paid tribute to the legend on Short Track Center.
Matt Sheppard and Larry Wight had a little bit of a get-together on the backstretch of New York’s Utica-Rome Speedway over the summer. While what happened is disputed depending on who you talk to, the incident led to a two-race suspension for Sheppard. However, Sheppard was able to overcome the suspension and score the Super DIRTcar Series title once again in 2018.
The first Short Track U.S. Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway brought many crazy moments, as is expected for any event at Thunder Valley. One of the craziest came in the Modified feature. We had a camera on Stephen Klinect’s car for his wild ride.
