Last week, Speed51.com and the Champion Racing Association partnered together to bring the Masters Challenge to our fans. The goal was to see who could correctly pick the winner of the Masters golf tournament and the Masters of the Pros 200 race at Birch Run Speedway (MI). The contestant that correctly picked both winners would receive a $1,000 prize.
Then Patrick Reed won the Masters on Sunday. Not one person picked Patrick Reed to win the Masters on Sunday. Jordan Speith, Rory McIlroy, even Tiger Woods, but not Patrick Reed.
As a result, nobody will receive the top prize of $1,000. However, other prizes have the opportunity of being handed out after the Masters of the Pros 200 on Friday, June 8th.
“I was watching some video pieces in the week leading up to the Masters,” explained RJ Scott, CRA Racing’s Managing Partner. “Watching the winners get their green jackets got me thinking about our past green jacket winners and how cool the Masters of the Pro’s at Birch Run Speedway will be this year. I was also having to pick some people for my Masters pools and it came to me it would be fun to pick one in the golf tournament and one in the are and see how everyone did. When I called Bob about doing it, it came together really easy. It was fun looking at all the different entries, especially on the final day. I am sure we will come up with some similarly fun promotions later in the year.”
Speed51.com and the Champion Racing Association will be partnering together for future promotions, so be on the look out for further announcements.
The Masters of the Pros 200 will take place on Friday, June 8th at Birch Run Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan. This will be the first year that the Masters of the Pros event is being held at Birch Run Speedway. The event was held at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri for the first five years of its existence. Chase Elliott won the inaugural Masters of the Pros race in 2013. Cole Williams is the defending winner of the race.
