About Us

Since 2001, Speed51.com has been the home for behind-the-scenes stories and short track news for series all around the country including NASCAR’s Touring Series, Late Models, Modifieds and more.  With nearly 20 years of experience, Speed51 continues to raise the bar in race coverage with its signature Trackside Now live updates, on-demand racing videos, live race broadcasts and news reporting from short tracks across the nation.

Founded by NASCAR broadcaster Bob Dillner and a couple of other passionate short track aficionados, 51 began as a site that focused on the now-defunct ASA National Tour.

It was in the ASA days that the popularity of Speed51.com took off.  With in-depth news and feature stories about the major personalities involved in short track racing, 51 became the home of cutting-edge information that no other media outlet at the time could provide.

Over the years, 51 has continued raising the bar of short track racing news.

Speed51.com was a pioneer in live short track racing news coverage in 2007 by enhancing the at-track product for the fans in the grandstands.  With live timing updates, unique photography and video clips, behind-the-scenes news stories from the drivers and teams and lap-by-lap updates, Speed51.com’s Trackside Now has become the go-to for fans unable to make it to the track and those looking to get the scoop from the pits while they enjoy the action from the grandstands via their mobile devices.

In 2015, Speed51.com created the Speed51 Network, an on-demand video network which now features thousands of short track racing videos from throughout North America. In 2017, over 25 races were also broadcast live for members of the Speed51 Network. In 2018, that number is expected to grow to over 40 live races.

Speed51 TV, the live broadcasting arm of Speed51.com, has also offered live multi-camera broadcasts of major events such as the Snowball Derby, Winchester 400 and Short Track U.S. Nationals.

Speed51.com is the home of major marquee racing events such as the Snowball Derby.

Advertising opportunities with Speed51.com are currently available.  51 has affordable year-long advertising opportunities on its front page, considered by many to be the “Short Track Marketplace,” as well as opportunities to be seen by the short track racers and fans tuning in to Trackside Now coverage.  For details on Speed51.com’s marketing packages, email [email protected].
