This weekend is a big one for short track racing all across the country with gigantic races on both dirt and pavement. We did our best to come up with a list of the 10 best races you should try to hit this weekend.
Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway (IA) – With the 360’s having wrapped up their racing at the famed Knoxville Nationals it is the 410’s up this week. Some of the best dirt racers in the world will make the trip to Knoxville and try their hand at the Nationals win.
North South 100 at Florence (KY) – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returns to action this weekend at Florence Speedway in Kentucky. It’s a battle of the North and South as they duke it out for 100 laps.
CRA SS / Gold Cup Outlaw LM at Flat Rock (MI) – The ARCA/CRA Super Series and the Gold Cup Outlaw Late Models head to Flat Rock Michigan this weekend. Race number eleven of the season brings 125 laps of racing as the points battle continues to tighten up for the championship.
Wings & Wheels at Waterford (CT) – Plenty of on-track action at Waterford this upcoming weekend for the “Wings and Wheels” event. The Valenti Modified Racing Series, ISMA Supermodifieds and the NEMA Midgets and Lites are all running this weekened at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
Show Me the Money Series at Montgomery (AL) – The Montgomery Motor Speedway Pro Late Model division is one of the most competitive Late Model divisions anywhere in America right now. Hard hitters including Casey Roderick and Augie Grill are slated to battle it out on the half-mile.
PASS South at South Boston Speedway (VA) – South Boston Speedway recently underwent a facelift by receiving some new asphalt over the offseason. PASS South heads to the Virginia short track this weekend as Matt Craig looks for his fifth PASS win of the season and to extend his points lead.
Short Track Super Series at Albany-Saratoga (NY) – If a weekend full of racing isn’t enough for you, the Short Track Super Series has you covered with some dirt slinging action on Tuesday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
NASCAR K&N Pro Series West at Evergreen Speedway (WA) – Following the combined race at Iowa Speedway, the West series heads back to their Western territory as they take on the 5/8 mile of Evergreen Speedway. The flat, paperclip style track creates great racing and is located right outside of Seattle, WA.
Granite State Pro Stocks in Monadnock (NH) – This weekend GSPSS is at Monadnock Speedway for race number eight of the season. The series will take over the New Hampshire race track Saturday night for 100 laps of racing action.
ACT at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway (ME) – The American Canadian Tour heads to Scarborough, Maine this weekend. They have 100 laps on the schedule for a Saturday night of late model racing.
